What happened to the bodies of Noah's people and the animals after the flood and the drying of the water?

Everyone except Noah and those with him in the ark drowned, and the water rose above everything, as stated in the Almighty's words: "So We delivered him and those with him in the laden Ark. Then We drowned the rest thereafter," and His saying: "Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried you in the sailing [ark]." And the water overflowed, meaning it rose above everything, even the mountains. The people of Noah and all the animals not carried in the ark perished, and there is no benefit in knowing the fate of their bodies, nor should time be wasted in searching for that.
