What is the intention required when reciting the Tashahhud? And is it necessary to intend supplication when saying: "Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah"? And does the worshiper's salutation reach the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him? If so, should one intend to greet him or to recite the Tashahhud?

The actions within the prayer, such as the tashahhud (testification of faith), do not require a separate intention. The intention made at the beginning of the prayer is sufficient to encompass all its pillars, as prayer is a single act of worship. The recitation of "Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah" during the tashahhud does not need a special intention. Rather, it is a conscious invocation of the meaning of praying for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for safety from all harm, and for ourselves and all righteous servants of Allah for safety from the afflictions of this world and religion. The salutations of the Muslim community reach the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
