هل ورد حديث صحيح عن الرسول ﷺ بمعنى أن من يعيّر أخاه بذنب ويفضحه لا يموت حتى يبتليه الله بذلك الذنب؟

The hadith, "Whoever shames his brother for a sin will not die until he commits it," is weak. Scholars have interpreted this to mean that whoever shames his brother for a sin will be punished by being deprived of divine enabling grace (tawfiq) until he commits the very sin for which he shamed his brother, especially if this shaming is accompanied by self-admiration. Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that shaming your brother for his sin is a greater transgression than the sin itself, due to the self-righteousness and conceit it entails. He also stated that the humility and regret of a sinner may be more beneficial to him than the obedience of an arrogant, self-admiring person.
