What is the ruling on remaining in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) throughout the day and purifying oneself after Maghrib, for someone who does not pray?

Prayer holds a great status in Islam and is the first of a Muslim's deeds to be examined. One who abandons prayer, denying its obligation, is considered a disbeliever by the consensus of scholars. As for one who abandons it out of laziness, scholars have differed. Delaying the obligatory ghusl (ritual bath) from janabah (major ritual impurity) or similar states when the time for prayer arrives is a grave evil and a heinous sin. One who prays without performing ghusl from janabah, while being able to do so, is sinful, and their prayer is invalid, due to the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves." {Al-Ma'idah:6}. It is obligatory upon you to make up all the prayers you missed. If you cannot ascertain their number, then continue making up prayers until you are reasonably certain that you have fulfilled your obligation.
