Is it permissible to act as if one is praying while in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) in front of family, due to embarrassment from not praying in front of them, and until one can perform ghusl?

Muslims have unanimously agreed on the condition of ritual purity (tahara) for the validity of prayer (salat) and the impermissibility for a Muslim to neglect it when able. Whoever does so deserves blame and punishment. A severe warning has been reported for one who prays without purity, such as the hadith of the man who was scourged in his grave for praying without purification. Some scholars have even gone so far as to declare one who prays without purity, while knowing, to be a disbeliever, even though this is a less preferred opinion, due to the element of mockery involved, which is a great sin. As for merely imitating the actions of prayer without intention, this is not legislated. And if doing so leads to the prayer being performed outside its prescribed time, then it is a compounded sin. When in a state of major ritual impurity (janaba), it is obligatory to hasten to perform ghusl (full ritual bath) and pray on time with purity, for that is the law of Allah, and there should be no hesitation concerning it.
