The Sunnis (Ahl al- wa al-Jama’ah) believe that Allah Almighty is eternally and everlastingly a Speaker (Mutakallim). He speaks whenever He wills with letters and an audible voice. Thus, His speech is an essential attribute in terms of its origin, and an active attribute in terms of its individual instances. The statement of the preachers, "And He remains a Speaker," affirms the perpetuity of the attribute of speech for Allah Almighty, not negating His speech related to His will.
