Hanbali jurists are of the opinion that a father is obligated to marry off his son if the son is in need of marriage and is among those whose financial support is incumbent upon the father. Marriage is a virtuous matter that one should hasten to, and if it is not possible, then one must strive to do what helps him maintain chastity.
