What is the ruling on sleeping on a bed that has impurity, and sitting in a place that has dry or wet impurity, whether its location is known or unknown, taking into account the principle that dry impurity does not defile a wet pure object if it touches it, and wet impurity does not defile except by squeezing?

Avoiding impurity on clothes, or in the place of sitting and sleeping, is not obligatory. Rather, it is obligatory to avoid it on clothes and the spot [of prayer] during prayer.

The madhhab that is acted upon regarding the transfer of impurity is that of the Hanafis. There is no harm in acting upon it for one afflicted with waswasa (obsessive doubts); because it is permissible for the one with waswasa to take the easiest of opinions to remove hardship.
