If there is doubt about the ritual impurity (najāsa) of a sleeping place, the default is its purity, and it is not ruled impure based on doubt. If the questioner is certain about the impurity of the place and it has not been purified, and the impurity transferred from it to his wet clothes, then there is a difference of opinion among scholars regarding the transfer of impurity to what the clothes touched. The most preponderant view is to act according to those who do not consider impurity to transfer in this situation, in order to repel obsessive doubts (waswasa). As for a spot of menstrual blood, it is a minor impurity that is pardoned.
