Is it permissible to imagine the form of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted?

It is not permissible to imagine a specific image or form for Allah Almighty, for no mind can encompass Allah, nor can any intellect conceive Him. He is greater than everything. Imagining His form is likening Him to creation, and Allah Almighty says: "There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing" and "but they do not encompass Him in knowledge." Beware of such thoughts and seek refuge in Allah from them.
