Is it permissible to shroud the deceased in pants and a cap?

The Sunnah is for a man to be shrouded in three white garments, and it is permissible to shroud him in five: a shirt, an izar (waist wrapper) or trousers, a turban, and two wrappers, without exceeding that. Wearing a skullcap (ṭāqīyah) was not mentioned. A woman is shrouded in five garments: an izar, a khimar (head covering), a shirt, and two wrappers. Trousers and a turban for a man in shrouding have been permitted by some jurists.
