Is it permissible for a betrothed woman to remove her hijab for her fiancé who asks her to do so in order for them to live in Bulgaria?

The hijab is an obligation, and it is not permissible to remove it at the request of a suitor. A suitor who abandons the Ramadan fast, drinks alcohol, and asks for the removal of the hijab should not be accepted as a husband unless he repents. Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on accepting a fasiq (transgressor) as a husband; some prohibit it from the outset and deem it obligatory to annul the marriage if it occurs, while the majority of scholars permit it, considering religious compatibility (kafa'ah) a condition for the binding nature of the marriage, not for its validity, and it is a right of the woman and her guardian that can be waived. It is advised to decline the proposal of this person if he does not repent, for whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
