Is the narration of cursing Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) present in Sahih Muslim? And did Al-Bukhari omit from his Sahih the text: "He said: A man from the family of Marwan was appointed over Medina. He said: So he summoned Sahl ibn Sa'd and ordered him to insult Ali..." as well as Umar's statement to Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both): "So you both deemed him a liar, a treacherous, a betrayer..." despite their presence in Sahih Muslim?

Firstly: The hadith of "Abu Turab," which Muslim narrated mentioning the reason for the naming, and which Al-Bukhari narrated without mentioning this reason, is not considered a deficiency in Al-Bukhari's trustworthiness. This is because Al-Bukhari did not conceal anything from the Sunnah; rather, he omitted an incident whose understanding the hadith does not depend on. His book specializes in Sunan (Prophetic traditions) and Athar (narrations), not history and news.

Secondly: The hadith "We do not inherit; what we leave is charity," which Muslim narrated with the phrase (So you both considered him a liar, sinful, treacherous, and a betrayer), while Al-Bukhari narrated it with softened phrases like (You both claim that Abu Bakr is such and such) or (as you both say), is due to the difference in Al-Bukhari's chains of narration from Muslim. Perhaps Al-Zuhri narrated the hadith sometimes explicitly and sometimes implicitly. If the Shiites were fair, they would notice that Al-Bukhari's narrations also lacked details of Al-Abbas's words regarding Ali.

Thirdly: A Muslim should safeguard his faith and time and not expose himself to doubts. He should not engage in disputes except with legitimate knowledge and competence. He should suffice in discussion by clarifying the truth and avoid excessive argumentation.
