What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding disputes over the division of inherited property among heirs, and is waiving a right or delaying its claim considered a forfeiture of the children's rights, and is a husband permitted to sever ties with relatives because of this?

Waiving rights is commendable and is a form of benevolence that Allah loves, resulting in immense reward. Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that Allah loves those who are benevolent and those who forgive people. Forgiveness is general in all rights of servants. Religious texts have indicated the virtue of forgiveness in debt cancellation, blood money, half of the dowry, and enduring harm. It is a sign of honor and does not diminish wealth. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to forgive his own rights and not seek revenge for himself. Forgiving relatives is even more commendable. Demanding one's right is not considered a severance of kinship ties.
