Is it permissible for a man to write the name of his second wife as the mother of his daughter from his first wife in official documents, and is he sinful for this action, and what must he do?

The Sunnah prohibits a man from attributing himself to other than his father, but we have not found any scholarly discourse regarding attributing oneself to a mother and whether the ruling includes it. Attributing oneself to other than one's mother entails several pitfalls, including falling into falsehood and the loss of certain rights, such as inheritance, because there is no inheritance between a daughter and her father's wife to whom she was attributed. Therefore, it appears that this act is impermissible, and one must repent to Allah and restore the matter to its true state by attributing the daughter to her mother.
