Is it considered legally problematic for the name of the father's wife to appear as the "mother" in official documents instead of the biological mother, and is it obligatory to correct this error in the documents?

The authentic Sunnah prohibits a man from attributing himself to anyone other than his father. It is authentically narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever claims to be the son of other than his father—knowing that he is not his father—Paradise is forbidden for him." We have not found any statements from scholars regarding attributing oneself to other than one's mother. However, doing so leads to lying, so it is apparent that it is not permissible. The father must repent and rectify the situation to its truth, and the daughter must strive to correct the matter.
