Divorce by innuendo does not occur unless there is an intention to effect it, and doubt about the intention negates its occurrence. If the divorce was explicit and occurred in a state of anger, and scholars have issued a that it did not occur, then there is no need for doubt or hesitation, and one must turn away from obsessive whisperings (waswasah).
