What is the difference between "akhrajahu" (he extracted it), "rawahu" (he narrated it), and "dhakarahu" (he mentioned it) among the Hadith scholars?

"Narrated by so-and-so" is more general than "transmitted by so-and-so." The first applies to the narrator himself and to the narration of a hadith scholar in his compilation. The second, however, applies only to someone who transmitted the hadith in his compilation. As for "attributed by so-and-so" (kharraja fulan), it is used with the meaning of "transmitted by so-and-so" (akhraja fulan), or with the meaning of attributing hadiths to their original sources. As for "mentioned by so-and-so," it comes with several meanings, including: with the meaning of narrated (which is rare), or with the meaning of narrating the hadith without a chain of transmission, or in the context of al-Jarh wa al-Ta'deel (discrediting and accrediting narrators) to state a judgment on a narrator.
