Is it permissible to sell revealing clothing?

The means share the rulings of the ends, and whatever leads to the unlawful is itself unlawful. Scholars have explicitly stated the prohibition of selling grapes to someone who will use them for wine, as it constitutes aiding in sin, citing the noble verse: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas ordered the uprooting of grapevines that were only suitable for someone to press into wine. Therefore, if immodest clothing (libas al-tabarruj) is worn solely for that purpose, selling it is impermissible. If it is used for immodesty and for other purposes, it is preferable to refrain from selling it. If selling is unavoidable, it is not permissible to sell it to someone who will use it for immodesty, especially if this is known from her circumstances.
