What is the ruling on alerting the Imam before he begins recitation in Tarawih prayer about the presence of a prostration (sajdah) in the second rak'ah?

A Muslim is commanded to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who meticulously explained the prayer. We have been commanded to pray as the Companions saw him pray. The fundamental principle is that no new matters should be introduced into the prayer. Any matter for which a cause existed during the Prophet's time, but which the Prophet did not do, is not considered beneficial. However, if the cause did not exist during the Prophet's time and emerged afterward, there is no harm in doing it if there is a need for it, or if it leads to achieving a benefit or averting a harm.

Based on this, the Imam's alerting the congregants to the presence of a prostration of recitation (sajdat al-tilawah) in prayer did not exist during the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. However, there are two situations:

- First situation: If the mosque and the rows of worshippers are as they were during his time, peace and blessings be upon him, it is sufficient for each row to follow the row in front of it, and the Imam's alert is not legislated. - Second situation: What has emerged in the design of mosques and the large number of people, such as rows behind walls, or worshippers outside the mosque, or the separation of women. In these cases, if the Imam fears confusion due to the worshippers' ignorance of the prostration places, we hope there is no harm in him alerting them before the prayer.
