What is the ruling of the Sharia regarding the return of the wife and children after she was divorced with 11 separate pronouncements (one, three, one, three, three), some of which occurred while she was pregnant, in postpartum bleeding (nifas), or menstruating, and one while she was pure, knowing that she still lives with the husband?
Allah has forbidden wanton display (tabarruj) and mandated that a woman veil herself in front of non- men, which includes her non-mahram relatives. Whoever condones his wife's laxity in this matter has committed a sin. You have also violated the by divorcing your wife three times in a single utterance; this is an innovation (bid'ah), and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, became angry with those who did so. The majority of scholars hold that a triple divorce pronounced at once results in an irreversible divorce (baynunah kubra), meaning she is not permissible for him until she marries another man. However, Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah was of the opinion that it counts as a single divorce, and that the divorce which occurred while she was pure is included, while any divorce he pronounced while she was menstruating or in postpartum bleeding is invalidated. Nevertheless, the currently adopted is according to the opinion of the majority.
