The answer

The Quran and indicate the virtue of Hajj and and the greatness of their reward. This is evidenced by the Almighty's saying: "And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass - That they may witness benefits for themselves" (Quran 22:27-28), and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The warrior in the path of Allah, the pilgrim performing Hajj, and the pilgrim performing Umrah are the delegations of Allah. He invited them and they responded, and they asked Him and He gave them." The benefits of Hajj and Umrah include demonstrating humility to Allah, showing gratitude for the blessings of wealth and health, the gathering of Muslims, and the forgiveness of sins. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever performs Hajj and does not engage in sexual relations or commit sins will return as if he were born on the day his mother gave birth to him," and "Umrah to Umrah is an expiation for what is between them, and Hajj Mabrur (an accepted Hajj) has no reward except Paradise." Furthermore, they are a cause of wealth and an expansion of provision. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Perform Hajj and Umrah consecutively, for they remove poverty and sins as a blacksmith's bellows removes impurities from iron."
