A servant will be held accountable for his life and how he spent it in obedience to Allah, for his youth and how he wore it out, and for his wealth: how he acquired it and on what he spent it. He must utilize his entire life in obedience to Allah Almighty, prioritizing the most important deeds such as acquiring and teaching Islamic knowledge, and increasing recitation of the Quran, voluntary prayers, and acts of remembrance. He must also ensure his earnings and expenditures are lawful. It has been mentioned in the Hadith that the greatest dinars in reward are those a man spends on his family, and the best charity is that given when one is self-sufficient. Whoever acts in this world in a way that pleases Allah will be guided to the correct answer.
