To what extent is the hadith "Whoever adheres to my Sunnah during the corruption of my Ummah will have the reward of one hundred martyrs" authentic? Adhering to the Sunnah of the Prophet is the path to salvation. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, urged adherence to it, especially during times of widespread corruption and innovations. This increases the reward for those who adhere to it, making them strangers who rectify what people have corrupted, and their work is equivalent to the reward of fifty men. Adherence to the Sunnah includes fulfilling obligations, avoiding prohibitions and innovations, striving to implement sunan (plural of sunnah) and recommended acts, and inviting to good. The committed person is one who hastens to apply the Hadith and Sunnah, and strives to ensure that all their actions conform to the Sunnah. As for the Hadith that mentions that the one who adheres to the Sunnah during the corruption of the Ummah will have the reward of a martyr or one hundred martyrs, it is weak and not authentic.
