What is the solution to the problem of emotional emptiness and the inappropriate behaviors resulting from it, despite knowing their impermissibility and negative impact on one's personal and professional life?

This is a serious disease and a bad habit that must be abandoned. Part of the cure is to recall the Almighty's saying: (Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do). And remember that Allah is capable of taking away the blessing of sight, and He will question you about it on the Day of Resurrection.

Another part of the cure is what the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned: "Indeed, a woman approaches in the image of a devil and departs in the image of a devil. So, if one of you sees a woman, let him go to his wife, for that will repel what is in his soul."

And if your wife does not suffice you, and you are able to marry another, then you should marry a second wife.
