Is it forbidden to recite Sufi wirds that contain incomprehensible words for the purpose of preservation?

The Sunnah (definition) is for a Muslim to occupy himself with the legitimate devotional litanies (awrad) established from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whether they are restricted to a specific time or situation, such as the morning and evening remembrances and those after prayers, or unrestricted, such as "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi, Subhan Allah al-Azim" (Glory be to Allah and with His praise, Glory be to Allah, the Most Magnificent). His Sunnah, peace and blessings be upon him, contains sufficient richness and adequacy, rendering unnecessary the innovated litanies (awrad) that may include polytheism (shirk (definition)) and blameworthy extremism (ghuluw), or obscure names that might be names of devils. Therefore, one must avoid these litanies and advise friends to abandon them, while explaining the legitimate remembrances to them.
