Is the wife obligated to do housework and go out without her husband's permission if he has abandoned her with the intention of separation, and what is the way to reconcile him after he has refused the intervention of family members?

A husband must treat his wife with kindness and not abandon her except in cases of her rebellion (nushuz). Even then, abandonment should be in bed and only after admonition. If a husband abandons his wife because she gave birth to a girl, he is sinful according to Islamic law, as the giving of male and female children is in God's hands. Remaining at home is the default for a woman. If the husband intends for his wife to go out to work, this is not obligatory for her, and financial support is incumbent upon him. The wife is advised to supplicate and strive for reconciliation. A woman's service to her husband is obligatory upon her according to what is customarily accepted, and it is part of good companionship. She is not permitted to leave the home except with his permission.
