What is our stance toward Christians at present? Is it permissible to curse them as it was permissible to curse the Jews, knowing their intense hostility toward Islam and Muslims, and that Allah said about them: "And you will surely find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, 'We are Christians'"?

The verses mentioned concerning the Christians speak about a group among them who responded to the truth and embraced Islam, and not about all Christians. The verses describe those who recognized the truth and therefore believed. As for those among them who did not believe in the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, Allah Almighty cursed them and described their saying as disbelief, and threatened them with Hellfire.
