Does a triple divorce occur if the wife withdraws her money from the bank or spends it, if the husband threatens her with that?

First: A woman has independent financial ownership; it is not permissible to take anything from her wealth except with her consent, based on the Almighty’s saying: "Do not consume your property among yourselves wrongfully," and His saying: "And give women their Mahr as a free gift; but if they of their own good pleasure remit to you a part of it, consume it with wholesome enjoyment." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The wealth of a Muslim is not lawful except with his willing consent."

Second: A man's statement to his wife: "You are divorced by three if you take the money," is a conditional divorce.

The majority of jurists hold that the divorce takes effect upon the fulfillment of the condition. So, if the wife takes the money, three divorces occur, and she becomes irrevocably separated from him. Some scholars (and this is the more preponderant opinion) believe that the matter depends on the speaker's intention: If he intended prevention and not divorce, he must pay an expiation for breaking an oath, and no divorce occurs. If he intended the occurrence of divorce, then, according to the more preponderant opinion, one divorce occurs, and he may take her back as long as she is within her waiting period ('iddah).
