Who is the best companion after Ali ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him?

The People of the Sunnah have unanimously agreed that the best people after the Rightly Guided Caliphs are the remaining six of the ten who were given glad tidings of Paradise, then the People of Badr, then the rest of the People of Uhud, then the rest of the People of the Pledge of Ridwan at Hudaybiyyah, then the rest of the Companions. There is no explicit text that specifies the superiority of any of the six who were given glad tidings over the others.
