What is the difference between the two verses: "ليكون لهم عزًّا كلا" and "كلا والقمر"?

"Kalla" is a particle of deterrence, rebuke, denial, warning, and rebuttal. It appears in the Quran with two meanings: "truly" and "no." The difference becomes clear from the context. In the first verse {Maryam: 81-82}, it is a denial and a rebuttal, while in the second verse {Al-Muddaththir: 31-32}, it means "truly." There is no mention of "kalla" in the first half of the Qur'an. It is either in the sense of "truly" or "no." Whenever you hear "kalla" in a Surah, rule that it is Meccan.
