Does saying "I have freed you" as a joke and out of ignorance of the legal implications of allusive divorce terms necessitate divorce?

If someone says to his wife, "I have freed you," without intending divorce, then divorce does not occur because the wording is not explicit. However, if he did intend it, then divorce occurs. And if someone says it jokingly without intending divorce, then divorce does not occur thereby.
