Is the driver obligated to pay the blood money (diyyah) if the passenger dies after jumping or falling from the moving car without the driver's knowledge?

The driver is liable for whatever is damaged because of it, unless the accident was the result of an act of God or due to an action by the aggrieved party. Therefore, the driver is not obligated to pay blood money, or expiation, nor is he sinful, if the aggrieved party was the cause of his own death.
