Is it forbidden for a person to say, "This is not imagination, and if this were imagination; then the Messenger would be imagination," intending that what happens in the series—namely, jihad and fighting enemies—is a reality similar to what the Messenger used to do?

Such a horrific phrase, which diminishes the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, must be avoided in glorification of his status. However, one who utters it without intending to slander or doubt his prophethood does not commit an act of apostasy, because the fundamental principle is that a Muslim remains a Muslim, and they do not exit Islam except with certainty. Therefore, ambiguous statements do not render a Muslim an apostate unless apostasy is intended by them. And whoever utters a word of disbelief without knowing its meaning or as a slip of the tongue does not commit an act of apostasy. Furthermore, the ruling of apostasy should be averted from a Muslim whenever possible.
