The answer

There is no sacred text that specifically mentions what an animal was created from. However, Allah Almighty has informed us that He created pairs of two from everything (male and female), and this includes animals, as He says: "And of everything We created two mates that you may remember." (Quran 51:49) and His saying: "And that He created the two mates – the male and female – from a drop of fluid when it is emitted." (Quran 53:45-46) As for an animal having a father and mother like Adam and Eve for humans, there is no basis for that.
