We advise the questioner to avoid suspicions and doubts about her husband. What she heard from her husband on the tape is confirmed by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "When the night falls, or when you enter the evening, keep your children close to you, for indeed the devils spread out at that time. When an hour of the night has passed, let them go, and close the doors, and mention the name of Allah, for Satan does not open a closed door." Her husband is correct in protecting the children and applying the instructions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He should act courteously with her, respect her feelings, and involve her in managing household affairs.
