Your two brothers are to be thanked for their eagerness to adhere to Islamic law, especially concerning interactions with non- men. This is due to the existence of guidelines for men entering upon women, the obligation for a woman to observe modesty and , and the avoidance of unlawful mixing or seclusion (). An independent home is a wife's right, but there is no harm in living with the family provided that the guidelines are observed. If a woman adheres to the hijab, there is no objection to her passing in front of her husband's brother, or her sitting in a family gathering in the presence of a mahram or someone who negates seclusion, while observing the etiquette of Sharia. We advise seeking wisdom, understanding, easing the burden on oneself, and seeking assistance from Allah Almighty.
