Is a sacrifice (hady) obligatory for someone whose ablution (wudu) was nullified during the Farewell Circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada') and who was unable to renew it because he is not a resident of Saudi Arabia? And if it is obligatory, should the sacrifice be slaughtered in Mecca or outside of it?
The majority of scholars stipulate purity for the validity of the circumambulation (tawaf), because it is equivalent to prayer. And whoever circumambulates without purity, it is as if he has not circumambulated, and he is obligated to offer a sacrifice (dam) according to the majority for those who omit the farewell circumambulation (tawaf al-wada'). This sacrifice must be slaughtered in Mecca.
