It is permissible for the husband to bring cats into the house, as long as they are not harmful or cause damage to the wife, because "there shall be no harm or reciprocating harm." It is the wife's right not to be harmed in her dwelling. As for the wife, she should take care of the cats if it does not cause her hardship, out of kindness to her husband and good companionship. However, the husband is not allowed to force her to do so.
