What is the interpretation of verses 5-6 from Surah Luqman?

The fifth verse of Surat Luqman: (Those are upon guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful) refers to the righteous who establish prayer, give zakat, and are certain of the Hereafter, clarifying that they are the guided and those who will attain Allah's reward. As for the sixth verse: (And among the people is he who buys a diversion of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment), the Companions and their successors interpreted "diversion of speech" as singing.
