What is the interpretation of verses 5-6 from Surah Luqman?

The fifth verse of Surat Luqman: (Those are upon guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful) refers to the righteous who establish prayer, give , and are certain of the Hereafter, clarifying that they are the guided and those who will attain Allah's reward. As for the sixth verse: (And among the people is he who buys a diversion of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment), the Companions and their successors interpreted "diversion of speech" as singing.
