Asr prayer must be performed within its prescribed time. It is forbidden to delay it until Maghrib prayer time, and it is not permissible to combine it with Maghrib. Nor is it valid to pray before its time, except in cases where it is permissible to combine prayers by advancing Asr with Dhuhr. Studying is not a valid excuse for a resident to combine prayers. You should request permission from the administration to perform Asr prayer at its appointed time. If they do not permit you to leave, then each student should pray in their place. If one is prevented from praying in their place and cannot pray on time, they may combine Asr with Dhuhr by advancing it, due to necessity, based on the view of some scholars who permit combining prayers for a resident out of need.
