What is the ruling on performing the prescribed prayer first, then the funeral prayer, when the funeral prayer is present and the bier is placed towards the Qibla?

There is no objection to placing the deceased (janazah) in front of the worshipers before or during the obligatory prayer, as there is no evidence to prohibit it. Some scholars have permitted it, while others consider it disliked (makrooh) if it distracts the worshipers, or if the janazah is placed in the middle of the row. Still others consider placing the janazah in front of the worshipers to fall under the prohibition of praying towards graves, because the janazah, in its meaning, carries the ruling of a grave.
