If blood is discharged after the removal of an IUD, what is its ruling concerning sexual intercourse and prayer?

The blood discharged after the removal of an IUD has the same ruling as the blood discharged because of it. If it appears after the passing of the minimum period of purity (15 days according to the majority of scholars, and 13 days according to the Hanbalis), or if its duration, combined with the previous blood and the period of purity between them, exceeds the maximum duration of menstruation (15 days according to the majority of scholars), then it is considered istihada (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding). In this case, the woman must perform ablution for each prayer, and it is permissible for her husband to have intercourse with her.
