How can one protect oneself from magic placed in food, especially when a person is forced to eat in the same house where the magic is placed?

One can protect themselves from magic by means of Ruqyah (Islamic exorcism) through reciting the Qur'an, such as Al-Fatiha, Al-Baqarah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Mu'awwidhatain (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas), and verses that invalidate magic. Also, by fortifying oneself with prescribed adhkar (remembrances of Allah) and maintaining ablution (wudu'). The ill person should recite the beginning of Surah As-Saffat and Surah Ad-Dukhan over water and olive oil, in addition to seeking refuge in Allah with: "A'udhu bi kalimatillahit-tammah min kulli shaytanin wa hammah, wa min kulli 'aynin lammah" (I seek refuge in Allah's perfect words from every devil and poisonous pest, and from every evil eye). "A'udhu bi kalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaqa" (I seek refuge in Allah's perfect words from the evil of what He created). "Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Sami'ul-'Alim" (In the Name of Allah with Whose Name nothing harms on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing) three times for each dhikr. Then, one should blow into the water and olive oil, drink the water, and anoint themselves with the olive oil. This treatment benefits by believing that healing is in the hands of Allah.
