Does a wife remain married to her husband if she leaves the marital home at her father's command and seeks a divorce without a legitimate Sharia reason, and the husband has not pronounced divorce, or is she considered divorced after four years?

As long as you have not pronounced a divorce, your wife is still under your marital bond. Her leaving or her demanding a divorce does not affect this. If she leaves without your permission and without a valid Shar'i (Islamic legal) excuse, she is considered rebellious (nashiz) and her right to financial support (nafaqah) is forfeited until she abandons her rebelliousness, unless she is pregnant.

Efforts should be made for reconciliation by consulting wise individuals. We draw attention to three matters: the wife's family should not interfere negatively and incite her, be cautious about divorce unless its benefit is clearly outweighing, and if the wife requests a divorce or khul' (a form of divorce initiated by the wife) without a valid justification, you have the right to refuse until she forfeits her dowry or part of it.
