Does the religion of Islam need maintenance from humans?

Yes, the Islamic faith needs those who will protect it, because its enemies try to conspire against it, as Allah Almighty said: "And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper." (Al-Furqan: 31). And Allah has appointed for the faith those who expose the schemes of these enemies, fulfilling the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "This knowledge will be inherited by the trustworthy from every generation, who will repel from it the interpretations of the ignorant, the fabrications of the false claimants, and the distortions of the extremists." The people of knowledge defend the faith and respond to those who speak ill of it, and this is part of the sincere advice that is the pillar of the religion.
