If a man ejaculates with desire during ghusl, should he complete the ghusl or wait until all the semen has exited and then repeat the ghusl from the beginning? And should he repeat the ghusl if semen exits without desire?

The emission of semen with lust necessitates ghusl (ritual bath). If semen is emitted with lust during ghusl, the ghusl becomes invalid, and it must be recommenced.

As for the emission of semen without lust, there is a difference of opinion: - The majority of scholars: It does not necessitate ghusl. - The Shafi'is: It necessitates ghusl, even if emitted without lust.

If semen is emitted without lust after ghusl or during it: - The Shafi'is: It necessitates ghusl and its recommencement. - Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen: It does not necessitate ghusl; rather, only wudu' (ablution) is required, provided there was no new lust.

The more cautious approach is to adopt the view of the Shafi'is.
