A wife must enjoin her husband to do good and forbid him from evil if he is in such a state. If he persists in that, she should separate from him through divorce or khul'. If the husband considers unlawful acts permissible and denies known obligatory duties such as prayer and , he is outside the fold of Islam, and it is not permissible for the wife to remain with him.
