It has been previously stated that commercial car insurance is impermissible, but there is no sin upon one who is legally compelled to acquire it, provided it is limited to the bare minimum required. Sheikh Yusuf Al-Shubaili mentioned that insurance is permissible if the law mandates it, on the condition that it does not exceed the minimum necessary amount required by need.
