What is the interpretation of the noble verse: (Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam)?

The religion acceptable to Allah the Almighty is Islam, which is submission and surrender to Allah and worshipping Him alone, and believing in Him and His messengers and what they brought. All prophets were Muslims in the general sense. However, after the advent of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, no religion is acceptable from anyone except the Islam he brought, because it abrogated all previous religions. "And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him." [Quran 3:85]. Religion with Allah is one, even if the laws varied. A Muslim is one who has submitted to Allah alone, and a non-Muslim is one who has disbelieved and been arrogant towards Him.
